Y Sports Leagues provide an introductory, fun experience for children ages 3-18 years old. We're always in need of Volunteer Coaches to help teach sportsmanship, teamwork & specific skills to the kids! No experience necessary, we will provide you with practice plans. Volunteers must be 14 or older. We recommend that teenagers pair up with a friend to co-coach a team. Leaders' Club Senior Leaders will serve as role models for our Junior Leaders' and Leaders' Club Program. This includes working with the Leaders' Club Advisor, upholding our YMCA Core Values, and modeling positive behaviors for our teens in the Leaders' Club Program. We are looking for in-water and on-land volunteers for Powhatan's Learn to Swim. Below are the current dates and times that we need help with. 

• Pocahontas: Tuesdays/Thursdays 10:15am-12:30pm on 1/16, 1/18, 1/23, 1/25, 2/1, 2/6, 2/13, and 2/15.
• Flat Rock: Tuesdays/Thursdays 10:15am-1:30pm on 2/20, 2/22, 2/27, 2/29, and 3/5.
• Blessed Sacrament: Monday/Wednesday 9:30-10:15am on 3/6, 3/11, 3/13, 3/18, 3/20, 3/25

*Will most likely need volunteers in the fall too, but we don't have the dates yet for the 2024-2025 school year. Please contact Jessica Hevener at hevenerj@ymcarichmond.org to set up your days and times.
